THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.WE ARE RUNNING OUR NEW PROGRAM PRESENTLY EXECUTIVE SECRETARY/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT.
STARTFRESH NY IS A NEW YORK STATE, DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, AND A HUMAN RESOURCES CERTIFIED ELIGABLE TRAINING PROVIDER.
Due to the current economic climate SFNY is expanding our Customer Service Training program and curriculm.
In an effort to keep up with the growing demand for qualified staff from our employers, and assist the large numbers of newly unemployed individuals we have added more classes and are concentrating on our Customer Service training. The curriculum is based upon Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access,Customer Service protocols and procedures.Preparing our families to keep pace with the changing dynamics of today's workforce. Classes are desiged to strengthen existing skills and expand computer proficiency.After completion of training our dedicated Job Development Team works closely with our clients to secure a position witin the wide spectrum of the Customer Service Industry. We have extensive links with companies in the private sector and at SFNY we have a reputation for meeting the needs of both our clients and our Employers.We host a high record of success in completion of training,job placement,and retention.

ANNUL HOLIDAY PROGRAM (WE HAVE RECIEVED MANY REQUESTS FROM ORGANIZATIONS FOR ASSISTANCE. DUE TO THE ECONOMY SFNY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST ANY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AS WE HAVE IN THE PAST WITH TOY DONATIONS)
WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL PARTNERS. COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUALS WOULD LIKE TO GET INVOLVED.BRING A SMILE TO A CHILDS FACE. IN THESE VERY DIFFICULT TIMES WE HAVE RECIEVED SO MANY REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE. WE ARE GRATEFULL AND HUMBLY WILL ACCEPT ANY ASSISTANCE. NO GESTURE OR DONATION IS TOO SMALL. WE ARE GOING TO PUT FORTH OUR BEST EFFORT TO REACH AS MANY CHILDREN AS POSSIBLE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON THROUGH THESE VERY DIFFICULT TIMES.THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO ASSIST.PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET INVOLVED AND HELP US BRING THE HOLIDAYS TO THOSE LESS FORTUNATE.
 For the past 10 years Cheryl Moran founder of STARTFRESH NY has run a program that provides food clothing and gifts to our cities neediest children. We host a variety of parties in shelters and after school programsand onsite at our location. Our purpose is to give these children a day where the labels of, homeless, poor welfare and or recipient are erased from their lives. We aim to provide a day where they can just be kids and have fun. In 2008 we were able through the generousity and assistance of HELP USA to provide gifts to over 2500 individuals.SFNY hosted 4 Holiday parties and distributed gifts to over 15 diffrernt sites.In addition we distributed new winter coats to children that were in need. Our goal this year is to expand our holiday program to reach more families in need. We have added a Secret Santa program matching sponsors with families that are unable to provide holiday gifts for their children. The sponsor will be asked to adopt a family. The sponsor will receive a Secret Santa letter from the child (children) and will answer Santa's letter. The gifts will be given to the recipients at a holiday party. In some circumstances such as Domestic Violence families and survivors, the gifts will be sent from SFNY to the families to ensure there safety. SFNY understands the diversity of our families and celebrates whichever holiday our families recognize.If you are interested in being a Corporate Sponsor or sponsoring one child PLEASE contact us your support could make the difference in a childs life!! This program is unique because it allows the sponsors to be personally involved by shopping for the children and becoming Santa. In addition the children feel like Santa got their letter!!
EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AND JOB READINESS
 We currently are facilitating an employment and job readiness program. For the family members we provide direct links to employers that are looking to fill staffing needs. In addition we enroll our families in employer-linked trainings that lead to full-time employment. This aftercare program is designed to insure the families make a smooth transition to employment. For employers we provide a pool of qualified job applicants, assist in implementing a training program, and target various funding sources for new hires as well as upgrading skills for existing employees. STARTFRESH NY hosts a very high employment retention rate. We attribute this to the intensive aftercare and advocacy that we provide for our families.
